After a little snowstorm delay we are beginning our winter coddiwomple. Our first adventure was spending three hours getting an oil change and chassis lube in Ruther Glen, Virginia. We arrived at the campground just before sundown which was helpful because we got a glimpse of the pool we would be parked in. Yes that is running water down the back road and all the sites are mostly under water.
We have a nice pull through site so we can keep the Jeep attached and have a quick pull out tomorrow in the rain.
Don't let the grass fool you; it is a gooshy muddy mess.
We met a nice couple Bill and Arletta from NJ. They have an older Mountain Aire coach-Bill said Arletta was not allowed to look inside because they just bought this one. The comments we heard about buying an RV (before we bought) are so true- "buy your third one first" otherwise you buy one a year for three years. They told us about camps along our travel path since they have done the path many times from their home to Florida many times.
