Site 30
The adjacent Sergeant Jasper State Park is named after an American Revolutionary War hero. He made local history when he salvaged the South Carolina flag after a British warship shot the flagstaff supporting the flag.
Not exactly what I would call resort but it was better to park near a lake than IN Carolina Crossroads "Lake" from last night.
We followed Bill and Arletta to this gem of a campground; well not really followed as they were pulling out as we were getting ready for breakfast.
Our site was an easy pull-thru at the end of a center island. Many folks were passing through on the way south.
The camp is located just outside the Sergeant Jasper State Park whose 300+ acres is dotted with seven small lakes.
