New Mexico's cross-state recreational trail for hiking, biking, and horseback riding along the Rio Grande. The purpose of the trail is to connect with diverse natural habitats, history, and various communities across the state.
We enjoyed the meandering trail through the park where the trail is well marked and maintained. We enjoyed the beauty along the way including many different birds.
The majority of the trail thru Caballo SP is lined with fine gravel and large stones on the sides. Great for walking, hiking, and biking.
