Houston has a fairly compact downtown but sprawls out so much it needs three beltways! There were two hot events for the weekend-a rodeo and a sleep convention. We visited several parks and enjoyed the friendliness of everyone we met.
The large dog park has a tiny footprint but the surface area is increased by turf covered hills. (picture shows the whole place). Biscuit had a great time visiting, playing and smelling.
Art in the Park
This may look like mulch but it is actually a rubberized mulch looking surface.
Views from around the park. Mark and I had a chuckle that the kids have their own fenced area where they can be "off leash". Their space was also well planned to increase surface area with raised running ramps, slides crawling tubes and in summer there is even a water feature.
Biscuit loved the long walk and all the great smells along the way.
The roadways were piled above the walkways.
Many folks were having professional photos taken on this beautiful day.

We went to Urban Harvest farmers market. The bounty we brought home includes: a huge cauliflower, Brussels sprouts, carrots, 5 kinds of lettuce, peas, broccoli, pea-greens and fresh roasted coffee. Yummy meals ahead.
